Samtaler

At Moldejazz festival 2026 the commissioned piece “Samtaler” (conversations) was premiered after Karoline received Norway’s largest music grant JazZtipendiatet in 2025.

The music she wrote for Trondheim Jazz Orchestra is based on communication between people - transcribed conversations such as a child and santa claus, an older lady reminiscing about her childhood, a fight on Love Island UK, a speech by Infantino, animals -transcribed slowed down crickets, giraffes singing to each other at night, plants - trees sending messages under ground. The music is playful, orchestral and whimsical.
